Even though embarking on their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS ought to be sufficient to secure direct passage to the last 16, especially after a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in succession.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
